Kinston Youth Enrichment Project
The mission of Kinston Youth Enrichment Project (KYEP) is to inspire and empower youth, in grades K-12, with a passion for learning. Our programs will allow youth to pursue their dreams confidently and creatively while developing academic, leadership and service learning skills that will allow them to be successful in life.
Slated to start in September, 2008, the project is a collaborative effort serving youth in Kinston/Lenoir County in rural North Carolina. Project partners include
- Young Women of Promise, Inc,
- The Lenoir County Center of North Carolina Cooperative Extension
- Community Council for the Arts
- Be Inspired! Art Gallery and Cultural Center and
- St. James A.M.E. Church
